Description

The Gillet Monument is a table tomb located 5 metres south of the tower of the parish church, dating from the late 17th century. It is made of grey limestone and features bulbous end blocks. The south side has an ornamental panel with a vase and rosettes, while the north side contains an inscription panel. The monument includes a moulded cornice and a flat top block, as well as a moulded plinth. Carved memento mori decorations are present on the end blocks. The inscription commemorates "Melchisedeck Gillet ... Aetatis 75 Qui Obiit 6 Sept 1680."
