Description

The Knapp is a row of eight plain two-storey stone cottages, built in the early to mid 19th century, located on Acreman Street. These cottages are situated at a higher level than the adjacent properties numbered 9 to 11, and they feature a terraced pavement in front. Each cottage has one window bay and a door. The roofs are covered with slate, and the windows are two-light casements with small panes and segmental heads. Number 1 has a modern door with the upper two panels glazed, while the other cottages have plain or modern doors with glazed panels. The Knapp, along with Digby Estate properties numbered 144 and 145 and properties numbered 1 to 11, forms a group.
