Description

Staghead Cottage is a house likely dating from the mid-18th century, situated on the east side of Ashmore Noade Street. It is constructed of chequered greensand and flint, with a gabled thatched roof and brick stacks at each end. The cottage is symmetrical in design, with a 3-window front. The upper floor features 2-light casement windows with glazing bars, while the ground floor has 3-light casement windows. A plain wooden door provides access. Interior features documented by the Royal Commission on Historical Monuments include a chamfered ceiling beam and a blocked open fireplace. The cottage was previously listed as ‘Cottage adjacent to Road Signpost’.
