Description
The Old Rectory is a house dating from the early 18th century, with alterations made in the 18th and 19th centuries. It is constructed from chequered greensand and flint, featuring ashlar dressings. The building has a gabled, tiled roof with end brick stacks and presents a symmetrical facade. It is two storeys high and has a five-window range arranged in a 2:1:2 pattern. The windows are sashes with glazing bars, and the ground floor openings have segmental heads. The doorway is topped with a broken segmental pediment supported by consoles and features a stone architrave. Internal features are mainly from 1870 or later, except for a chimney piece dating to around 1750, which has been reset.
