Description

The Wesleyan Chapel, built in 1855, is constructed of banded flint and brick with ashlar quoins. It features a slated, gable-ended roof adorned with stone copings that have apex and kneeler finials. The gable faces the road and includes lancet windows with cast-iron diamond pattern glazing bars and returned labels. The entrance has a two-centred door with continuous double-roll mouldings. The outer boundary piers are octagonal, made of banded flint and ashlar, topped with plain caps and polygonal finials. The central gate piers are also octagonal, crafted from wood, and have similar finials. A wrought iron fence and overthrow complete the setting.
