Description
The barn and stable located approximately 20 meters north of Lydlinch Old Rectory are likely from the early 18th century, with the stable being converted in the 20th century. The structure features coursed rubble walls combined with some timber framing, and it has tiled roofs with gable ends and stone copings. The barn and stables are positioned at right angles to each other. The barn includes two double wooden doors set beneath segmental stone arches. Inside, there is a collar-braced roof supported by tie beams and two purlins on each side, with the upper purlins being windbraced. The partitions are made of square panel timber framing, and there are dovecot holes in the right gable. The stable has 20th-century windows.
