Description

This is a milestone located 40 metres west of the tower of the Church of St James in Longburton Village. It dates from the 19th century and is made of cast iron. The milestone features a hollow pedestal with an ovolo cornice and a weathered top. It bears the inscription "Sherborne 3" in capital letters.
