Higher Holnest Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse constructed with coursed rubble walls and a sheet asbestos roof featuring gable ends, along with end and central brick stacks. The building has two storeys and a four-window range, with two-light casements that include glazing bars. There is a 20th-century glazed door and a 20th-century outshut at the rear.
