Description

No. 82 High Street is a building likely from the 19th century, constructed with Purbeck stone walls and roof. It stands two storeys tall. The ground floor features a central flush panel door and one double-hung sash window, along with a modern inserted door and window at the west end. On the first floor, there are three double-hung sash windows with glazing bars. A plaque above the later door indicates that PO Edgar Evans RN left this location in 1910 to join Robert Scott on his Antarctic Expedition.
