Description

The Hut Dairy is probably late 18th century, a roadside group of farm buildings. It is constructed of rubble stone walls with brick dressings, and has roofs that are a mix of tile, slate, and corrugated iron. The main south range, which fronts the road, is two storeys high with a tiled, half-hipped roof. It features a ledged door and two similar loft doors leading to the upper storey. The west range is at a right angle to the road and also two storeys high, with a similar roof, and contains one loft door in its south wall. A single-storey, open shelter shed sits at the rear, facing north, with a slate roof supported by circular timber posts. The east range is single-storeyed and has a corrugated iron roof. The building is included in the listing for its group value.
