Description

Osborne House is a probably mid-19th century building, not shown on the 1840 Tithe Map. It is linked to Pier View Flats by a bridge at first floor level. The building has rendered walls and a slate roof, with a twin-gabled elevation facing Seymer Road. It is three storeys high and features three-storeyed canted bay windows in each gable. Between the bays on each storey are semi-circular niches. Ornamental bargeboards decorate the gables. Double-hung sash windows with glazing bars are fitted within the bays, and have moulded cornices. An entrance is located in a side wall, leading to a porch supported by timber columns with mask heads, which in turn supports a projecting first floor room. The porch contains a panelled door. A Picturesque stone front boundary wall is also present.
