6/107 Manor Farmhouse 18.3.55 II

Farmhouse, C16 origin with extensions and alterations of the C17, C18 and C19. Timber frame, rendered and whitewashed, brick and chequerwork flint and ashlar. Brick stacks to right and along the ridge left. Right end has a large projecting flint and ashlar chimney breast. 2 storeys, 4 window range. 12-pane sashes. Part-glazed panelled door between 2 right hand bays. Later part-glazed porch.

Internal features (RCHM): chamfered beams and exposed timber framing; fireplace with moulded timber bressummer; part of the original tie-beam roof with stop-chamfered purlins and chamfered windbracing remains intact; other roof trusses are of the C17; the form of the roof trusses suggests that the living accommodation was originally open to the roof.
