Description

22 and 22A North Street is a 17th-century building constructed from a mix of rubble and pink brick, topped with a pitched tile roof and stone slates above the eaves. It features a projecting brick chimney breast at the north end, which has diaper-patterned brickwork and stone-slated batters just below the stack. The building is one storey high with attics and includes two modern casement windows, as well as two attic dormers that have hipped roofs and tile-hung cheeks. The doors are planked and have segment-headed tops. This building was formerly known as the Greyhound Inn. It is part of a group that includes Nos 14, 14A, 16 to 22 (even), and 22A.
