Description

Chapel Cottage is a detached cottage dating from the mid-18th century. It features knapped flint walls with brick quoins and a rendered upper storey. The roof is thatched with gable ends. On the left-hand end wall, there is an original brick stack, while a 19th-century rebuilt brick stack is located on the right-hand gable. The cottage has two storeys and two windows, which are a mixture of two-light wooden casements with glazing bars. The front door, slightly left of centre, is a plank door from the 19th century. At the rear, there is a continuous outshut with a rounded wall at the north-east corner, constructed from flint rubble and chalk cob walling, topped with a thatch roof. The rear door is a plank door with brick jambs.
