Description
Two chapels in Pamphill Cemetery, built around 1856, are identical and likely contemporary with the nearby Lodge. They feature stone walls and tiled roofs adorned with bands of fish-scale tiling, along with parapets at the gables topped with stone copings. The eastern chapel has an open stone bell turret at its liturgical west end, a nave, a chancel, and a south porch. The porch showcases a moulded pointed arched doorway, which is set beneath an ogee hoodmould decorated with crockets and a carved finial. Above the doorway, there is a three-light traceried window with a hoodmould. The porch and chancel both have angle buttresses, and the west wall of the chancel is highlighted by another three-light traceried window with a hoodmould. Additionally, the north wall features a three-light traceried window beneath a gable.
