Description

Pierston Farmhouse is a farmhouse built in the mid-18th century, with alterations and additions from the early 19th century. It features coursed rubble walls and an ashlar plat-band. The roof is tiled, with brick stacks located at the gables and partway along the ridge. The building consists of two parallel ranges and is two storeys high, with a four-window range. On the ground floor to the left, there is a French door, and above it is a 16-pane sash window. The other windows are three-part sashes that include full glazing bars and additional margin glazing bars. The third bay from the left has a two-storey, 19th-century, five-sided glazed porch. The farmhouse also has 19th-century fretted barge and fascia boards.
