Description
Rose Cottage is a detached cottage dating from the late 18th century, which has undergone renovations and changes to its windows in the 20th century. The cottage features red brick walls laid in Flemish bond on a rubble stone base, topped with a thatched roof. The roof has a gable end on the left side and is hipped on the right side, with a 20th-century brick chimney stack located at the ridge towards the right of the center. The building is 1½ storeys high and has three windows on the ground floor, which are 2-light hardwood casements with wooden sills, dating from the 20th century. The windows are set beneath cambered brick arches that are characteristic of the 18th century. Additionally, there are two eyebrow dormers on the roof, which also feature hardwood casements.
