Description
29 East Street is an 18th-century building featuring a stucco exterior and an ashlar plinth. It has a pitched slate roof and red brick stacks, standing two storeys tall with attics. The building is adorned with a moulded eaves cornice and a parapet, and it has long and short quoins. There are four ranges of cased sash windows with keystones, along with an oblong bay that contains paired sashes. The entrance door is half-glazed with two flush panels and is set in panelled reveals. The doorcase is decorated with reeded pilasters and patarae capitals, topped by a flat moulded hood with a panelled soffit supported by cut brackets, between which are two moulded panels. This building is part of a group that includes Nos 13 to 33 (odd), 37, and 39, with Nos 23 and 25 being of local interest only.
