Description
This is a row of seven cottages located on St Mary Well Street, dating from the early 19th century. The cottages are constructed with lias rubble walls and feature Roman tile roofs, although number 14 has an asbestos slate roof. There are five brick chimney stacks, and the cottages are two storeys high, with a total of approximately ten windows across the row.
Most of the windows are wooden casements with two or three lights in numbers 2, 6, 8, 10, 12, and 14, all having wooden cills and lintels. Number 4 has sash windows with vertical glazing bars. The front doors are wooden with glass lights and are from the 20th century for numbers 2, 6, and 8. Numbers 12 and 14 have wooden plank doors, while numbers 4 and 10 feature wooden flush-panelled doors. Additionally, numbers 2 and 4 have wooden canopies above their doors, topped with low pediment roofs.
