Description
The Hambro Arms Inn is a public house dating from around 1780, with an enlargement to the rear in the 19th century. It features plastered cob walls and a hipped thatched roof, with a brick stack located near the right end. The building is two storeys high. The main section of the inn has a slightly recessed panelled door, which is flanked by pilasters and a flat moulded hood. On either side of the door are canted bays that contain sash windows with glazing bars, moulded frames, and flat lead roofs. To the right of the right-hand bay, there is a two-light sash window with vertical glazing bars and a casement window with lead lights. The first floor has six casement windows with lead lights. At the left end of the building, there is a former stable range that includes a part-glazed ledged door with a fanlight, two pairs of ledged doors, and a wide single ledged door, along with a loft door above.
