Description

Gold Court is a 18th-century building located on the south side of St John's Hill. It features colourwashed brick construction with a pitched tile roof and stone slates above the eaves. The building has red brick stacks and stands two storeys tall, with a decorative band and diagonally placed bricks at the eaves. There are three ranges of cased sash windows. The entrance door has two fielded panels and is accessed by two steps, set within a moulded doorcase that includes a flat hood supported by elaborate dentils on cut brackets. Gold Court, along with Nos 1 and 2 Gold Court, Mint House, No 13, and the Horse and Groom Public House, forms a group of notable buildings.
