Description
Baker's Row consists of two houses located in Piddletrenchide Village. The northern house, built in the late 18th century, features rendered, whitewashed walls and an interlocking tile roof with gable ends and end brick stacks. It is symmetrical, with two storeys and a three-window range, likely containing original two-light casements with glazing bars. The central entrance has a six-panel door, with the upper two panels serving as lights.
The southern house dates from the early 19th century and also has whitewashed walls, a gable-ended slate roof, and a central right brick stack. This house is two storeys high with a four-window range, and the ground floor openings are set under segmental brick heads. It has two-light casements with glazing bars and two blocked doors. The houses are included for their group value.
