Description

The Heel Monument, located 6 metres north of the north transept of the Church of St Mary, is a mid-17th century table tomb. It is constructed of stone and features a moulded base, flat sides, a moulded cornice, and a hipped top block. This monument commemorates William Heel, who died on February 1, 1652.
