Description

This is an 18th-century public house, formerly known as the Pure Drop Inn, situated on the north side of West Street. The building is constructed of whitewashed brick with a pitched tile roof, and incorporates stone slates above the eaves. Red brick stacks are also present. It is two storeys high with an additional attic level. The eaves are characterized by diagonally placed bricks. The windows are flush-framed sashes, arranged in two ranges. A single attic dormer is visible; it has a hipped tile roof and tile-hung cheeks with a casement window. Nos. 46 to 56 (even) form a group.
