Description

Thorne's Cottage, likely from the 18th century and possibly older, is constructed of rendered Purbeck rubble. It features a pitched tile roof that is half-hipped at the north end, with stone slates above the eaves and red brick stacks. The building has two storeys, with upper windows that have hipped tile half-gables. There are various cased sashes and casements with glazing bars. Notably, there is a lead rainwater head with a lion's head and mandorla patterns located beside the door at the south end. Thorne's Cottage is part of a group of listed buildings on Church Green.
