Description

Higher Dairy Farmhouse is a detached farmhouse dating from the 17th century. It is constructed of flint with squared rubble block walls and features a tiled roof with end brick stacks. The building has two storeys and a four-window range, with two-light casements that have glazing bars; the ground floor windows are set under segmental heads. There is a central 20th-century porch and door.

Inside, the farmhouse has chamfered ceiling beams with shaped stops, and the fireplace bressummer bears an incised inscription reading "1669 RW" within a roundel. The farmhouse was thatched until recently.
