Description
Manor Farm House is a farmhouse with origins dating from the late 16th century to early 17th century, with alterations made in the 18th century. It features coursed rubble stone walls and a thatched roof. There are three stacks: one plastered stack at the left end, one brick stack to the right of center, and one stone stack at the right end. The building is two storeys high and has a 20th-century open timber porch with a gabled tiled roof. The entrance has a six-panel moulded panel door.
On the ground floor, to the left of the door, there is a three-light stone mullioned window, and to the right, four two-light stone mullioned windows, all with lead lights and covered by a continuous hood-mould. The first floor has six two-light stone mullioned windows with lead lights. There is a 20th-century single-storey rear addition made of stone with a flat roof.
Inside, the room to the left of the door, which is the kitchen, has chamfered ceiling beams and a large fireplace that has been partially built up. The center room features a large open fireplace with a timber lintel and two chamfered ceiling beams. The room at the right end, known as the parlour, has 18th-century raised panelling with a moulded cornice, an 18th-century staircase with turned balusters and spandril brackets, and an 18th-century fireplace surround in the room above the kitchen.
