Virginia Cottage is likely an 18th-century building. It has walls and a roof made of Purbeck stone, with brick stacks. The cottage is two storeys high with attics. The ground floor has a modern door and three double-hung sash windows. The first floor has four double-hung sash windows. Two dormers with hipped roofs and casement windows light the attic. A modern stone garage has been built on the south side, and a lean-to addition exists on the north side. A Purbeck stone boundary wall fronts the street. The building is documented as RCHM Monument 60.
