4/203 Cart Shed and Stables 10 metres south of Waddon 26.1.56 House, part premises of Hardye Tweeds

GV II*

Detached Cart-Shed and Stable-Block. Dated 1702. Dressed stone walls. Thatch roof, hipped at left and right hand ends. One storey with lofts over. Cart-shed at left hand end, with open-ended north wall. Through-passage, with square-headed doorway with straight-chamfered jambs and lintel incised 1702. Plank door. Left door over, plank. Rest of west elevation: window, door, window, door, window. Windows are 2-light mullions, straight-chamfered, with cast-iron casements. Separate labels over. Doorways of same type as above, each with 1702 dated lintels. Plank doors. (RCHM Dorset II, p.243 (8)).
