Description

No. 3 Briantspuddle is likely of 17th-century origin, with later additions and alterations in the 18th century. It was formerly a mill house. The building is constructed of brick and cob walls and has a thatched roof with brick stacks. It follows an L-shaped plan and is one storey high with attics. A flush panel door provides access to the property. Casement windows are present on the ground floor, and half-dormers light the attic space. Some windows have cast iron lights, one features leaded glass, while others are more recent metal casements. The interior contains plank and muntin partitions on both the ground and first floors. Large fireplace openings were originally present but have since been built up. Millstones are set into the paving outside the front door.
