Description
The Little House is a single cottage dating from the late 18th century, with a 19th-century porch and a 20th-century extension on the right side. The cottage features rubble-stone walls and a thatched roof that is gabled on the left side and half-hipped on the right side. It has one and a half storeys and two windows, which are three-light wooden casements with horizontal glazing bars and keyed stone lintels. The upper floor casements have been raised in the 20th century into eyebrow dormers by adding two-light casements above the originals.
The front door is centrally located and is a plank-and-muntin design with a segmental head. This door leads into a stone porch that has a gabled slate roof and wavy bargeboards, along with a keyed segmental lintel and a small single light window above. To the right, there is an attached extension made of brick and stone, topped with a slate roof and featuring a casement window.
The property also includes an attached front garden wall and gate-piers. The wall is made of rubble-stone with rough coping stones, while the gate-piers are made of ashlar and topped with low pyramidal caps.
