Description
Stubhampton House is a house dating from the early 19th century, with an extension added around the mid-19th century. It is constructed of flint and stone, featuring red brick dressings, and has a slate roof with gabled ends and brick gable-end stacks. The building has a two-room plan for the front range with a central entrance, and a service wing at the rear left, creating an L-shaped layout. There is a mid-19th century outshut behind the front range and an extension at the end of the rear wing. The exterior is two storeys high and has a symmetrical three-window southwest front. The 19th-century three-light casements have small panes and are set in brick openings with cambered arches. The central doorway features a panelled door and a gabled canopy. The rear northeast wing has a gable end and a lower extension, along with an extension behind the main range that includes gabled brick dormers. The interior has not been inspected.
