Description
Westbury is a pair of cottages that have been connected to form a single dwelling. One cottage dates from the mid-18th century, while the other is from the late 18th century, with additions and alterations made in the 19th and 20th centuries. The exterior features a mix of partially chequered flint and ashlar, along with areas that are rendered and whitewashed. The building has two storeys, with the road-facing side displaying a three-window range. The cottages are one and a half storeys high, and the windows are primarily 2-light casements, some of which have full glazing bars and others with horizontal glazing bars. Some of the materials used in the construction may have come from Eastbury House, designed by Vanburgh, which was mostly demolished in 1775.
