Description

The stone setts and gutters on Gold Hill date from the 17th century and extend from the platform at the top of Gold Hill downwards as far as No. 15. The stone setts cover the width of the roadway from outside the houses to the buttresses of Park Wall. On the west side, there is a gutter just beyond the footpath, which is wider at the top. Additionally, there is another gutter on the east side that runs down past Nos. 15, 16, and 17 to the bottom of the hill. Both gutters are lined with stone setts.
