Description
The attached stables, located at the west end of the yard and 50 metres west of Poxwell House, date back to the 17th century. They are built with rubble-stone walls and feature a thatched roof with gable ends, although the rear pitch is covered with corrugated asbestos. The structure is 1½ storeys high and has six openings: a window, two doors, and three additional windows. To the right of the doors, there are two two-light stone mullions with separate labels, while the remaining openings are slatted wood. The left door is a stable-type plank door, and the right door is also a plank. Above the centre, there is a plank loft door that is treated as an eyebrow. Inside, the stables have 17th-century jointed cruck trusses.
