Description

The building is a farmhouse, originally dating from the 17th century, with alterations and extensions made in the 18th and 19th centuries. It is constructed of rubble and brick, with brick dressings. The roof is thatched with brick stacks positioned along the ridge. The farmhouse is partly single-storey with attic space and partly two-storeyed, exhibiting an irregular arrangement of windows. Ground floor openings are topped with segmental brick arches. The windows are mostly casements with glazing bars; those on the upper floor are 20th century replacements. A gabled wooden porch is located in the second bay from the left. Internal features documented by the Royal Commission on Historical Monuments include a four-panel ceiling with a shaped boss.
