Description
Hillside is a detached cottage, likely from the 18th century, though it may have earlier origins. The walls are constructed of brick and flint, with some areas plastered. It features a thatched roof that is hipped at the right end, covering a later extension. The original building has chalk block quoins at the end, with brick stacks located at both the left and right ends. The cottage is one storey with an attic, and there is a 20th-century flat-roofed single-storey rear extension. The front has a part-glazed door, while the ground floor includes three casement windows with glazing bars and a fixed window where a door once was. In the attic, there are three half dormers with casements featuring lead lights, although one opening light has been replaced with timber. There is also a blocked window in the right extension.
