Description

The toll house, located on the west side of Dorchester Road (A37) in Charminster, dates from the early 19th century. It features rendered walls with rusticated quoins at the corners, which are visible from the road. The building has a low-pitched slate roof and is hexagonal in shape, with a later single-storey extension added to the south and a chimney stack. The windows are sash style, complete with glazing bars and segmental heads. The porch on the east side has rusticated jambs and a segmental head, while the door is from the 20th century.
