Description
This coach house and stable, built in the late 18th century, is located 5 metres north east of the Old Rectory in Burlelston. It features a brick plinth and walls made of chalk cob, topped with a thatched roof that has half hips at both ends. The building is single storey with a loft above. On the west wall, there is a symmetrical arrangement of openings: to the left, a plank door leading to the stable with a segmental wooden head; next, two-leaf plank doors for the coach house with a segmental brick head above; followed by another plank door to the stable with a segmental wooden head; and a loft door on the north end wall. At the centre, there is a circular pitch door above the coach entrance. Inside, the floors are cobbled, and there are mangers present.
