Description
No. 60 Park Street is a small house located at the end of a row, built between 1820 and 1840. It features painted brickwork or rendering and has a slate roof. The property extends to Clifton Place on the left, where it has an attached wing. The house is two storeys high with an attic, showcasing an original four-pane sash flat-roofed dormer above a prominent 12:18:12-pane bow oriel window at the eaves level. On the ground floor, there is a two-pane display window, and to the left, a part-glazed 19th-century door set in plain reveals that leads to an arch over a plain fanlight. The return gable wall includes a small two-light casement window in the attic and a panelled door in plain reveals that also leads to an arch over a plain fanlight. To the left, in the same plane, the wall has a 12-pane sash window on each level and a plain parapet. A deep brick ridge stack is located to the right. The interior has not been inspected. This house remains relatively unaltered in an area where many small properties have undergone significant modifications, and it contributes to a cohesive group with Nos. 62-66 and 68-70.
