Description
Old Harbour House is a house located at the end of a short row with commercial premises, dating from the early 19th century. The exterior is rendered and features asbestos-cement. The building has three storeys and a basement, with two windows on the front. Above the canted oriel windows, which have 8:16:8-pane sashes, there are small flat-roofed four-pane sash dormers. The ground floor includes a 20th-century door and casement, along with a large, intrusive two-storey glazed display frontage to the right. The building has gable stacks and plain gabled returns, with a small attic light on the right side. At the back, there is a door at the second-floor level that leads to a bridge connecting to higher ground.
The house is part of a short row that continues along Trinity Road to the west of the church, but it appears somewhat isolated due to demolition clearance that took place in the 1960s.
