Description

This is a 16th-century barn located approximately 40 meters south of the Parish Church of St Mary and St James in Hazelbury Bryan. The barn features coursed rubble walls topped with a corrugated sheet roof and has gable ends. There is a wooden door in the west wall, and the southern end of the barn has likely been rebuilt. Originally, the roof was thatched and supported by six jointed cruck trusses with cambered collars, which had two peg mortice and tenon joints. However, the crucks have been truncated above the joints, and most of the roof timbers have been replaced.
