Description

A range of three cottages, likely originally four, situated in Hazelbury Bryan Wonston. The building dates from the 17th to 19th centuries, with varying construction methods. Materials include brick with flared headers, render, squared rubble, and colour-washed surfaces. The roof is thatched, with end stone stacks marking the original cottages. The cottages are two storeys high, with irregular window placement. Windows are a mix of sashes and casements, some with leaded lights. One cottage, Nuttlebury, features a 20th-century canted bay and a 20th-century porch. Briarlea has a 20th-century porch. Bryan Cottage has a thatched porch. Further details are recorded in "RCHM, Dorset, vol III," pages 108, numbers 12 and 13.
