Description
Street Farmhouse is a house that likely dates from the late 17th century or early 18th century, with an 18th-century extension to the east and an early 19th-century north wing. The building features coursed rubble walls topped by an interlocking tile roof and has a central brick chimney stack. It is two storeys tall with an attic and originally consists of two bays with a central door. The windows are three-light stone mullioned with stone architraves and beaded mullions, while the extension has wooden casements and leaded lights. There are gabled dormers, and the doorway is adorned with a stone architrave and a segmental wooden hood featuring a dentilled cornice. Inside, notable features include 18th-century fielded panelling, the jamb and bressummer of an open fireplace, a plank and muntin partition, and deep chamfered ceiling beams.
