Description
The main barn at Whiteway Farm is a detached structure, likely built in the 18th century, that was in the process of being converted into a house at the time of the survey. It features rubble stone walls and a roof that is stone-slated on the east side and slated with stone eaves courses on the west, complete with coped gables. There is a cart entrance in the east wall, which is flanked by buttresses, and 20th-century openings have been created on each side. A lean-to extension is located on the west side under a catslide roof, also with 20th-century openings. Additionally, a canted bay is under construction on the south elevation. The barn is included for its group value.
