Description
Church House is a detached house located in Frome St Quintin, with its rear wings dating from the 17th century and largely refashioned in the 20th century. The front range was refronted in the late 18th century and consolidated in the 20th century. The building features brick walls that are rendered, with banded chalk block walls on the gable ends. It has a concrete tile roof with stone gable copings and moulded kneelers, along with brick stacks at the gable ends.
The house is two storeys high and has three windows on the front. The ground floor features tripartite sashes, while the first floor has sashes with thin glazing bars. The central front door has a round-head surround and is a four-panel door with two top lights, topped by a fanlight with glazing bars. The rear ranges still have some stone mullion windows with labels, but they have been extensively altered in the 20th century, including rendering and the addition of dormer windows.
