Description

This is a pair of 18th-century terraced buildings on South Street. They have grey and red brick frontages above modern shop fronts. The buildings are three stories high. Number 8 has four window ranges of sash windows, with contemporary wide glazing bars (one blocked), while numbers 7 and 9 each have three window ranges, with keystones above the windows of number 9. Number 8 features a good doorway with a round-headed opening, a panelled door, and reveals; a pediment sits on console brackets, and the entablature blocks above the brackets are enriched with paterae. Number 7 has the name "Frisby's" displayed in large sans-serif lettering between the first and second floors. A parapet tops number 9.
