Description
This is a terrace of late 18th or early 19th century buildings on South Street, likely with older underlying structures. The fronts are primarily red brick, with numbers 115 and 117 (also known as Manchester Place) constructed of stone. The roofs are covered with old slate tiles. The buildings are two storeys tall, with attics, and feature brick modillion eaves cornices and attic dormers. Number 109 has a small bowed shop window. Some casement windows at the rear retain lead glazing bars. Numbers 87 to 95 (odd), the Friends Meeting House, and numbers 99 to 159 (odd), form a visual grouping.
