This 18th and 19th century granite rubble building comprises The Retreat and Lynton Cottage. It has a slate roof with gabled and half-hipped ends. The building contains five windows, with modern casement windows and sash windows lacking glazing bars. The Retreat features a gabled wooden porch, while Lynton Cottage has a modern glazed door.
