This 18th and 19th century granite rubble building comprises The Retreat and Lynton Cottage. It has a slate roof with gabled and half-hipped ends. The building contains five windows, with modern casement windows and sash windows lacking glazing bars. The Retreat features a gabled wooden porch, while Lynton Cottage has a modern glazed door. This building is included on the list for its group value, forming part of a group that includes the Church, Churchyard Wall, and Vicarage, together with other listed buildings along Mousehole Lane (with the exception of numbers 1 and 2 Mount View).
