Description
Hutchen's House, formerly known as Almshouse, is a 17th to 18th century building with a datestone from 1709. It features a long range constructed from small coursed rubble and has been restored. The roof is made of slate with gable ends, and there are granite chimney stacks with cap mouldings. The house is two storeys high and has six windows. The ground floor has restored double-hung sash windows, while the first floor features 2-light casements with granite mullions. Notably, the granite mullions on the first floor have been taken from the ground floor windows. The rear elevation has largely been modernized with slate hanging. Hutchen's House is part of a group that includes the Church, Churchyard Wall, and Vicarage, along with other listed items in Mousehole Lane, excluding Nos 1 and 2 Mount View.
